Fliegen im Jänner 07 nach Australien. Unter anderen fahren wir mit dem Zug von Brisbane nach Cairns. Wer hat darin schon Erfahrungen gesammelt? Könnt ihr uns den East Coast Diccovery Pass empfehlen? Wie ich auf der Homepage gelesen habe (hab leider nicht alles verstanden - http://www.railaustralia.com.au/rail_passes.htm - siehe auch unten) fallen beim Benutzen des Tilt Train Zusatzkosten vor Ort an. Stimmt das? ((Travel on the Cairns Tilt Train is applicable however surcharges apply)??

The East Coast Discovery Pass allows unlimited travel in one direction with this six month pass. Simply choose from one of the six sector travel options available below.
The East Coast Discovery Pass also includes the following “Value Adds” for 2006/07
- Coach connections to Hervey Bay, Yeppoon and Whitsundays, Byron Bay, Port Macquarie, Yamba
and Forster
- CityTrain connections between Robina (Gold Coast) and Brisbane or vice versa on passes
Sydney / Melbourne to Cairns
- 50% discount to travel back to the point of origin in New South Wales and Queensland
- 50% discount travel on one outback journey in New South Wales and one outback journey in
Queensland
- Bonus of one free outback journey on the Spirit of the Outback, The Westlander or The Inlander in
Queensland
- Free same day connection from CityTrain services in Brisbane to long distance services

Travel Conditions
The East Coast Discovery Pass is available for unlimited travel on CountryLink and Queensland Rail Traveltrain east coast services in one direction only, either north or south, between locations endorsed on the ticket. (Travel on the Cairns Tilt Train is applicable however surcharges apply)
Travel on Sydney CityRail services is only allowed in conjunction with a connecting CountryLink service
Travel is not available on Brisbane Citytrain service and Melbourne metropolitan services
Use of this pass must begin within six months of the date of issue and be completed within six months from the first validity date.
This pass is available on mainline CountryLink and Queensland Rail East Coast Rail and Integrated Coach services only.

Cancellations / Refunds
Unused passes receive a full refund, but once the pass has been validated (first leg travelled) or lost, no refund is issued
