[Fußball] National Youth League 2008/2009

Moin,
mal wieder ein neues Thema hier: Die A-League National Youth League.
Die NYL ist sozusagen die Ableger-Liga der A-League und dient dazu jungen Spielern den Sprung in das Profi-Geschäft zu ermöglichen und um verletzten Spielern der Profi-Klubs wieder fit zu werden und Spielpraxis zu erlangen.
Das Format ist fast gleich wie mit der A-League, es werden 21 Runden gespielt. Allerdings treten alle Klubs "nur" 3x gegeneinander an und haben gleichzeitig 3 "byes" (d.h. Aussetzen an einem bestimmten Spieltag). Somit läuft die Liga parallel zur A-League.

Jedes Team muss 10-12 Jugend-Spieler in ihren Reihen haben (am 1. Januar 2008 mussten die Spieler zwischen 16-21 Jahren alt sein, um mitspielen zu dürfen). Weiterhin kann jeder Youth-Klub 4 Spieler haben, die über dieser Altersbegrenzung liegen. Jeder Jugend-Spieler muss in der Saison ein Minimum von 30 Spielminuten haben.

In der Liga spielen alle Klubs aus der A-League, allerdings nicht Wellington Phoenix. Diese versuchten zwar ein Youth-Team in Canberra zu errichten, diese Pläne wurden allerdings erstmal verworfen.

Schöne Sache! Bringt den Fußball über die Jungend weiter in die Öffentlichkeit. Wäre doch cool, wenn der Fußball innerhalb Australiens bekannter wird.
